The Governor’s Conference awards gala, held on September 8 at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, recognized outstanding work in the state’s “most important industry” and awarded Paradise three Henry Awards, the highest industry trophies, and totaling 8 Flagler Awards overall on the night.

“Paradise prides itself on being a partner to our clients with a laser focus on sustainable business and economic growth,” said Barbara Karasek, CEO and Co-owner of Paradise. “We are humbled and immensely proud of the team that works incredibly hard for every single one of our client partners. Even throughout a pandemic, we’ve been able to continue to produce award-winning campaigns that drive tourism for the communities we serve. Now more than ever, our work has never been more meaningful to our client partners and our team.”

With over 400 awards since its founding in 2002, Paradise is a full-service marketing agency that concentrates on consumer-focused brands and businesses and is known for delivering innovative and data-led brand and integrated marketing strategies that drive brand loyalty, business growth and bottom lines.

“Once again, it is an honor to have VISIT FLORIDA and our industry peers judge our work to be the most successful and original in the state across categories,” said Tom Merrick, VP and Chief Creative Officer at Paradise. “I am proud of our team’s award-winning work for every single one of our clients. Our ability to optimize data-led insights plus our talent for developing relevant, engaging creative solutions truly embodies Paradise’s Power of +.”

Named for Henry Flagler, the VISIT FLORIDA Flagler Awards were established in 2000 to recognize outstanding tourism marketing in Florida.

Presented by VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s tourism marketing corporation, The Flagler Awards honor the countless individuals and organizations that help position Florida as one of the top travel destinations in the world. Each year the Flagler Awards pay tribute to the determined efforts of those who use their skill, resourcefulness, creativity and innovative spirit to market Florida to the world.

Based on the judges’ cumulative scores, awards were presented to the top three entries in each category: the Bronze Award for the third highest scoring entry, the Silver Award for the second highest scoring entry, and the Henry Award for the highest scoring entry in each category. “Best of Show” awards are given at three budget levels.
