      Paradise is Florida’s Most Decorated Ad Agency Yet Again

      Yes, we dominated the 2017 awards circuit
      The 2017 destination marketing awards season just ended, and Paradise saved the best for last.

      At Tuesday night’s Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HMSAI) awards gala in New York, we scooped up two Platinum Adrian awards, and bagged a Best of Show. “Destination Dysfunction,” for Amelia Island — a spoofy take on erectile dysfunction commercials — won best Video in the Digital Marketing Division, and also scored Best of Show in the entire Digital Marketing field. “Vacationauts,” a multi-media campaign for Space Florida that promotes space tourism in the state, won platinum in the Consumer/Group Sales/Travel Trade category of the Advertising division.

      The Adrian Awards, an international competition, are regarded as the “Oscars” of the destination marketing industry. Senior industry and media experts select winners from more than 1,200 entries. The awards are not subdivided by the size of the account or agency, so Paradise was up against some large companies representing prominent brands. Further, the award criteria include results, which means the Adrians measure not just creative excellence, but how campaigns actually performed.

      “The Adrian judges saw what we saw in this work,” said Tom Merrick, Paradise’s VP and Chief Creative Officer. “Focused, powerful ideas, flawlessly executed across every medium. That’s why these campaigns are working, and it’s why our industry peers are recognizing them. I couldn’t be more proud of the work, the team that brought them to life, or the awards they’re bringing home tonight.”

      The Best of Show and Platinum awards bring Paradise’s Adrian awards haul to 25, including seven Gold, seven Silver and eight Bronze awards across a wide array of categories and on behalf of seven Paradise clients. They also mark the grand finale of a standout year for Paradise. Including the Adrians, we collected more than 60 advertising awards for ’17 — in such prestigious competitions as the ADDYs, the Visit Florida Flagler Awards and the Hermes Creative Awards.

      In all, a banner year.
