Savannah was in the middle of a once-in-a-generation transformation, and its meetings and conventions business needed to catch up to it. Three forces were converging at once: unprecedented infrastructure investment at the Convention Center, Port of Savannah and international airport; a wave of luxury hospitality openings — including the JW Marriott, Perry Lane, Hotel Bardo and an incoming Ritz-Carlton — that elevated the city into five-star territory; and the revitalization of urban waterfront corridors like Plant Riverside and River Street into high-yield commercial and leisure destinations.
Individually, each was a meaningful upgrade to Savannah’s capacity to host meetings and conventions. Together, they represented a fundamental repositioning opportunity: Savannah was no longer just a charming historic-tourism destination, it was becoming a serious contender for national meetings and convention business competing against larger, more established host cities. The risk was that meeting planners and decision-makers — the audience with the least reason to update their mental image of a destination — would continue to see Savannah through its old lens. Visit Savannah needed a B2B campaign and sales strategy capable of repositioning the city in the minds of the people who choose where conventions and corporate meetings land, and of converting that repositioning into booked business.

Paradise built “Break Out From The Ordinary,” a B2B print and digital campaign that placed real Savannah meeting and event spaces — rooftop lounges, waterfront terraces, historic estates, string-lit warehouse venues — front and center, paired with direct copy speaking to what meeting planners actually care about: inspiring attendees, filling exhibit halls and delivering an experience their group won’t forget.
To reach the highest-value prospects directly, Paradise developed a premium direct-mail sales kit — a custom-engraved cutting board and branded packaging built around the “Sav’or the Moment” idea, announcing that Savannah was finally on the table as a legitimate option given the new expansion of the Convention Center. The direct mail was targeted at top sales prospects and meetings decision-makers, giving Savannah’s sales team a tangible, memorable way to open doors with planners who receive dozens of destination pitches a year. Creative, direct mail and sales enablement worked as one system: the advertising built awareness and credibility with the broader planner audience, while the direct-mail program converted Savannah’s highest-priority targets into direct conversations.
