Faces of Paradise: Katelyn Hunter

For a dynamic, full-service marketing and communications agency to create impactful, award-winning work, it takes more than just a team of talented creative maestros, advertising experts, and public relations practitioners. There’s also a team of “behind-the-scenes” professionals that keep the Paradise machine running smoothly. Among them is a water enthusiast, thrift shopper, and TV crime show fan. Take a few minutes to get to know Senior Accounting Specialist, Katelyn Hunter.

What do you do at Paradise and how long have you been with the agency?

I’m a Senior Accounting Specialist and have been with Paradise for four and a half years.

Tell us more about your role at Paradise

My role involves wearing many hats. I handle accounts payable, reconcile general ledger accounts to help ensure our financials are accurate, manage collections, assist with payroll, and occasionally help teammates with travel arrangements.

How long have you been in Marketing & Communications? What drew you to a career in our field?

This is actually my first job in Marketing & Communications and I really enjoy it.

What’s free time like for you?

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, relaxing in the pool, or visiting the many great springs here in Florida. Water is typically involved somehow.

Last tv series/show that you’ve binged or been hooked on?

“I Will Find You” on Netflix

Favorite TV show/series of all time?

“Law & Order: SVU”

What’s getting heavy rotation in your music playlist these days?

Right now, I can’t get enough of early 2000s pop.

What’s one thing about you that people would be surprised to learn?

I’d prefer thrifting over shopping in a department store. You never know what you are going to find!

Favorite Paradise memory or experience?

My favorite memory with Paradise is our company retreat in St. Petersburg. Having the opportunity to meet teammates that I’d only interacted with via video to that point was great. We made a lot of fun memories.

What else should we know about you?

I have two children – Kyler (15) and Everly. (5).

What does being a “Partner for Good” mean to you?

Being a Partner for Good means showing up every day and being the best I can be. It also means always being kind, helpful, and supportive to others.
