Faces of Paradise: Michelle Laquindanum

In our next edition of Faces of Paradise, we feature a member of our growing contingent of west coast team members. Take a few moments to learn about Nevada resident, aspiring yogi, cookbook collector, and versatile earned media professional – Michelle Laquindanum.

What do you do at Paradise and how long have you been with the agency?

I serve as Account Manager, Public Relations & Influential Communications for the Paradise Public Relations team and have been with the agency for more than two years.

Tell us more about your role at Paradise

As Account Manager, I work closely with clients to help them generate national, regional, and local earned media. This includes each step of the process including research, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

How long have you been in Marketing & Communications? What drew you to a career in our field?

I’ve been in the industry for about five years. I decided to pursue communications due to my lack of interest in my science classes during my time at university (I started pre-med). After taking a few introductory classes, I fell in love with the rush of journalism and communications.

Alma mater/degree

I attended the University of Nevada, Reno where I earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.

How do you spend your time when not connecting people to brands?

I practice Vinyasa daily at my local studio as I continue working toward becoming a true yogi! When I’m not on my mat, I’m usually spending time with my rescue dog, Sadie, or exploring the local restaurants in my city.

Last tv series/show that you’ve binged or been hooked on?

“Heated Rivalry”

Favorite movie of all time?

“Dune 2, Lisan al-Gaib”

What’s getting heavy rotation in your music playlist these days?

Olivia Dean and the “LIVE Wicked: One Wonderful Night Soundtrack”

What’s one thing about you that people would be surprised to learn?

I love to cook! I am a cookbook hoarder (though most of my recipes are found online), and I love experimenting and trying new flavor combinations.

Favorite Paradise memory or experience?

I went on an immersion trip with our Vice President, Public Relations, Tara Tufo, to Skagit Valley, Washington. We visited a local partner’s inn/tea house, and I recall sitting with Tara looking out at the beautiful landscape, and feeling immense gratitude for my team and the opportunity to do this as part of my work.

What does being a “Partner for Good” mean to you?

Being a “Partner for Good” means going beyond the standard and truly immersing ourselves in our outreach. It’s about aligning with our clients’ goals, understanding their audiences, and communicating their impact in a meaningful and strategic way. By elevating stories with intention and clarity, we strengthen brands and help support the communities they serve.
