Discover Albany, NY, operating as the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau, has unveiled its new brand identity online alongside the launch of its redesigned website, albany.org. Developed by Paradise, the brand evolution features an updated logo and visual identity system, debuting as Albany celebrated its 340th anniversary as a city.
Created in close collaboration with the CVB’s marketing team, the new brand identity reflects Albany’s historic legacy, modern vibrancy, and growing tourism offerings while remaining versatile across digital, print, and on-site marketing platforms.
“As we reached the momentous milestone of our 50 year anniversary, we wanted to have a fresh brand that fully represented our diverse, welcoming and historic destination” said Jill Delaney, CDME, President & CEO, Discover Albany. “While our DMO reached a half century and our destination recently celebrated 400 years, Albany County is anything but old and tired. We’re a vibrant destination worthy of our fresh look and we can’t wait to welcome even more visitors!”
The unveiling comes at a landmark moment for the city. Albany has served as the county seat since its founding and has been the capital of New York State since 1797. In 2026, the city’s anniversary celebrations coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, with Albany a focal point for commemorating New York’s role in the Revolutionary War and the nation’s history.
“It was an honor to partner with my former home state to deliver a look that better reflects Albany’s historic legacy and modern vibrancy,” said Tom Merrick, Chief Creative Officer of Paradise. “The new identity communicates Albany’s dual identity as both a capital city steeped in history and a dynamic, evolving cultural destination.”
The new brand identity is now live across its new website, all social channels, and more. Visitors can explore the new website at Albany.org.
